Leonardo Vincenti He lives in Mozzo near Bergamo, he is only ten years old but he is a true chess prodigy. He started playing during lockdown and he became more and more passionate, collecting his first important victories.

Among the titles won are those of second best chess player under 10 in Europe and third in the world. Last November, in a tournament played in Prato, Leonardo exceeded the two thousand Elo mark (the official assessment system of a chess player's playing strength, ed), thus becoming the youngest Master candidate in the history of Italy.

The young talent has been chosen to represent the Italian national team in Sharm at the under 12 world championships which will be held from 14 to 27 October.
