The World's Best Cities Report describes it as "an immersion in the past in a city investing in the future, combining culture, spirituality, and hospitality." The combination of millennia of history and improved tourism infrastructure makes the Eternal City one of the most sought-after destinations for 2025.
Europe takes center stage. Along with Rome and London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona also make the top 10, confirming the Old Continent's central role in global tourism: 45% of international travelers choose Europe as their primary destination.
