The red onion is also a protagonist at the Magna Graecia Film Festival. International actor, director, and screenwriter Sergio Castellitto, winner of two Nastri d'Argento and a David di Donatello, among others, will be the recipient of the special award that the Consortium The Tropea Calabria PGI Red Onion will be awarded during the festival. The evening dedicated to Calabria's agri-food icon, one of the partners of the prestigious festival, now in its 20th edition, is scheduled for Saturday, August 5th at the Arena Porto in Catanzaro Lido.

This was announced by Consortium President Giuseppe Laria, expressing his satisfaction with Marketing Director Daniele Cipollina for this important partnership, which contributes to promoting Calabria with its range of quality products. All this in the prestigious setting of the MGFF, which this year is enriched with new food-related experiences. The Consortium for the Protection of Tropea Calabria PGI Red Onion is, in fact, among the four main partners who have joined the first edition of the Magna Graecia Food Feast, in addition to Consortium of the Bergamot of Reggio Calabria, il Clementine Consortium of Calabria and Nostrum Bio. During the evening dedicated to the Rossa di Tropea, there will be a dinner dedicated to this special ingredient. A video about the red onion, the Tropea Experience, produced by Enjoy Calabria in collaboration with Vegitalia Spa, will also be shown.
