Summer sees a significant increase in beer consumption in Italy, with over 50% of respondents saying they drink more during the summer season. A recent survey conducted by Bva Doxa for the Beer Information Center (CIB) of AssoBirra reveals the summer trend and changes in consumption of the drink. All the details on Italians' favorite beer.

The survey highlights an increase in beer consumption during the summer holidays, with a variety of places of consumption ranging from beaches to mountains, including more unusual locations such as caves and underground locations, as well as campsites, lakes and rivers.
This highlights how much beer is appreciated in different contexts, becoming an ideal companion for any type of holiday.

La Warehouse confirms itself as the favorite beer among Italians, chosen by one interviewee in two (50%), followed by Pilsner (41%). Other types of beer, such as Blanche (31%), Weiss (28%), Indian Pale Ale (22%), Belgian Ale (18%) and American Pale Ale (11%), also enjoy considerable popularity.

The role of beer in food and wine tourism is increasingly significant. Over 71% of those interviewed choose holidays focused on discovery of foods e local beers.
Gen Z shows particularly high interest, with 76% preferring food and wine holidays, followed by Millennials (72%) and Gen X (69%).
