This important honor qualifies as the second civil honor of the state. It is a certificate that is awarded to those who have acquired merit in the promotion of friendship and collaboration relations between Italy and other countries, with special reference to cultural, academic, scientific and technological relations.
The appointment took place by decree of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella on the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, after consulting the Council of the Order.
A great honor
The honor was conferred in the presence of SE l'Ambassador of Italy Mario Sammartino and his wife, Mrs. Federica Modena.
