The largest Christmas tree in the world is in Gubbio, in the heart of Umbria. Lying on the slopes of Mount Ingino, the tree is made up of lighting fixtures of various types that create a completely unique chromatic effect. Over 250 bright green dots outline the shape of a Christmas tree over 650 meters high with the central body dotted with over 300 multicolored lights. On the top installed a star of the surface of about one thousand square meters, designed by over 200 points of light.

It is a creation that entered the Guinness Book of Records in 1991; the tree remains lit throughout the Christmas period and is deactivated after the Epiphany. Tens of thousands of people visit Gubbio every year also to admire its extraordinary beauty. On December 7 the switching on of the lights
Next 7 December, the president of the Umbria Region, Donatella Tesei, will be the testimonial for 2022 for the lighting of the Gubbio Christmas tree.
