In the collective imagination, i tulips refer to Holland. It is there, in what is now the Netherlands, that the tulip draws colorful landscapes. But that's not where you have to go, to fill your eyes with beauty and to pick those extraordinary flowers. Thanks to Tulip Parkin fact, Holland has arrived in Italy. More precisely, it is arrived at Rome and Bologna. In what, to all intents and purposes, are the first tulip nurseries in our country.
What is TuliPark
TuliPark is a tulip park. An immense and boundless expanse of colored flowers. From Friday 2 April and until the end of the month approximately, it will welcome visitors in via dell'Arcoveggio in Bologna, in front of the former Giuriolo car park. This experience replicates that of via dei Gordiani in Rome. In jargon we speak of "u-pick“: Whoever arrives at TuliPark can choose the tulips, pick them and then take them home. How do you do a self-service. There are over a hundred varieties present, and there are even black tulips. And then, many attractions in pure Dutch style: the giant tulip, the Friesian cow, the sculptural hoof. It is truly a place that is good for the eyes to the heart, the TuliPark. It offers beauty, as well as the thrill of seeing an exclusive place (the fields follow the flowering of tulips, and are only open for a month). And it's a nice little breath of fresh air, in the middle of a pandemic that has upset the habits (classified as nurseries, the tulip parks are also open in the red zone). Obviously, you have to follow the rules and respect the rules: do not step on the flowers, do not abandon the ones that have just been picked. And remember that, here, it is there that dominates and gentle cosmetics.
How and why to collect tulips
To access TuliPark you need book. By connecting to the site you choose the location (Rome or Bologna), the day you intend to go and the collection option: bouquet of three tulips for one person, or bouquet of 7/20/50 tulips for up to two people. The cost starts from 8 euros, and the experience is priceless. After all, science says it: flowers and plants are good for the mood, to the point of talking about "garden therapy". There are several studies that include gardening as a physical activity of moderate activity: just think of the 330 calories burned in an hour, with the consequent benefits for the heart and lungs. Of course, picking up a bouquet of tulips is not the same gardening every day, but it sure is good for you. At least to the spirit. Strolling in the dirt paths of the TuliPark, among the colored petals and the scent of nature, take away the stress. And it gives a pinch of normality in a historical period that has very little of normal. "Beauty will save the world", they say. And tulips, in fact, are beautiful. This is why, from the north to the south of the country, fields are born in which to collect them.
Meraviglioso!
Nice place.
