The shooting of the third series of "Imma Tataranni substitute prosecutor" has just begun these days, the Rai 1 fiction starring the actress Vanesknow Scalera. Work will continue until the end of April and, once again, the exclusive set for the television production is the splendid Matera, already European Capital of Culture in 2019.

The third series of the fiction will unfold in eight episodes, each lasting approximately 100 minutes. The representatives of the Matera municipal administration underlined that the television series has assumed "a central importance for the city", also in consideration of the "economic and employment repercussions determined by the productive investment". The television series “Imma Tataranni – Deputy Prosecutor” is taken from the works of the writer Mariolina Venezia.
The novels "Like plants among the stones", "Rione Serra Friday" and "Maltempo" inspired the first season. The work "Via del riscatto" was the inspiration for the second season. In 2021, another book by Mariolina Venezia dedicated to the character of Imma was also released, entitled “Ecchecavolo. The world according to Imma Tataranni”. A decidedly sui generis character that of the deputy prosecutor played by a Vanessa Scalera who fell perfectly into the role of a maverick female magistrate. A characterization with attention to the smallest details that determined the great success of the fiction, among the most followed productions on Rai1 in the last few years.
