The mural of Kiki Skipi represents well the value of the book as a fundamental tool for the growth of every person, starting from school. To describe this colorful work of street art, we thought about the mayor of the boys: "In school, the path is uphill," said Elia, representing all the students. "However, the climb is also an ascent, a growth, and in fact, at the end of our journey, we realize our dreams, discover our interests and our talents. Once we reach the top, we are enriched by what we have learned along the way and are ready for a new journey.".

Melania Ruggini talks about her artistic choice

The festival curator explains: "We chose this young artist for the evocative and dreamlike power of her works. Once again, Kiki has succeeded with extreme simplicity and spontaneity in expressing the dream of a school accessible to all, where barriers are removed, but where we reach out and walk together every day. This year, the festival has placed a strong emphasis on the presence of young female artists, to introduce them to and make them loved by our audience."

The artist Kiki Skipi

Kiki Skipi is the alter ego of Chiara Pulselli, born in Sassari since 1988 and resident in Bologna for several years. Hers are fantastical and unpredictable worlds inhabited by faceless women, with the goal that the viewer, transposing their own, becomes a curious observer of themselves. Her concise, sinuous language, incorporating a healthy dose of irony, does not distract from the silent, suspended, fairytale atmosphere. Rendered with an extraordinary color palette, combined with a penchant for a profoundly playful aesthetic. Between introspection and observation of reality..
