Return to normal, or at least try, enjoying a good movie at the cinema as it once was. This is the spirit that is accompanying the seventy-eighth edition of the Venice International Film Festival. The festival, whose curtain will officially fall on Saturday with the highly anticipated award ceremony, is not only presenting the great films in competition, but it is also a great experiment to return to the normality so hoped for for a sector, that of culture, cinema, art, which has been severely tested in recent years. And so let's try to tell you something more about this great event, the Venice Film Festival, which is taking place in the Lagoon and which also knows a lot of Italian, thanks to the five films in competition.
The cinema productions that want normality at the Venice Film Festival
Rebirth, therefore, and normality. Because the cinema machine, despite the countless limitations due to the health emergency, has continued to produce. Today at the Laguna the presentation of the last Italian film in competition “Latin America” by the D'Innocenzo brothers with Elio Germano. A love story, say the directors, mixed with thriller. Yesterday, for the eighth day of the exhibition, the Italian film “Freaks Out” by Gabriele Mainetti with Claudio Santamaria was presented in competition. In the evening the awarding of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Jamie Lee Curtis, who brought his “Halloween Kills” out of competition to the Lagoon. Among the other films presented yesterday also "The great silence" by Alessandro Gassman, "Qui rido io" by Mario Martone, "Ballo Ballo", the musical dedicated to Raffaella Carrà.

And so in these long ten days the eyes of cinema lovers and not only are all on Venice. Many well-known faces of international cinema shine on the red carpet, but also the great local actors. From those who are the protagonists of the films in competition, to those who participate even just for a moment of notoriety. The exhibition that points to hope and normality thus becomes a great event not to be missed.
From Tim Roth, to Charlotte Gainsbourg, from Toni Servillo to Silvio Orlando, from the beautiful Jessica Chastain, to the charming Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, and then great emotion of the Golden Lion to Roberto Benigni. The predictions for the final victory
The eyes are on the Italians. Our cinema can aim for success and perhaps the Golden Lion. There is one of the most accredited names Paolo Sorrentino who signs “It was the hand of God”. And among the actors undoubtedly Toni Servillo. And then there are the young D'Innocenzo brothers who with their interpreter Elio Germano could surprise in the final victory. There is therefore expectation for the decisions of the jury led by Bong Joon-ho, director of "Parasite" and formed by Virginie Efira, Cynthia Erivo, Sarah Gadon, Saverio Costanzo, Alexander Nanau and Chloe Zhao. Among foreigners, Pablo Larrain's “Spencer”, dedicated to Lady Diana and played by Kristen Stewart, seems to be the favorite.
