Catholic scouting in Verona was born from the merger of ASCI (Italian Catholic Scouts Association) and AGI (Italian Guides Association) in 1974. The groups in the city grew increasingly numerous, leading to the creation of two zones: Verona East and Verona West. The western part was further divided in 1995, creating Verona Monte Baldo and Verona Custoza.

The founder of the association, Baden Powell, wanted to create Catholic Scouting in Verona to advance the principles of youth education. In addition to typical youth-related activities, the Scouts collaborate with MASCI (Italian Adult Scout Movement) and the Civil Protection Department.

Celebrations for the centenary of the Verona Scout Association
The month of May will be a memorable time for the Catholic association of Cub Scouts, Ladybugs, Explorers, and Guides of the Verona Scouts. To celebrate the first centenary of this association, the Verona Arena will host over 1,400 younger members of the scout groups. They will be joined by members aged 10 to 15, along with the Rovers and Scouts, boys and girls aged 17 to 21.
The various youth groups will be joined by over five hundred leaders from the three branches, the age-group divisions within the Arena. These celebrations will be the perfect opportunity to develop new projects and collaborate towards new goals.

The centenary celebrations were preceded by a preparatory program conducted with the Ecclesiastical Assistants. These associations collaborated to create a compass to guide the education of boys and girls in the Christian life.
