Magical evening yesterday in St. Mark's Square for theopening of the Carnival between reality and cinematic suggestions. It was the Grand Carnival Ball with Bridgerton, an event created in collaboration with Netflix for the launch of the fourth season of the famous series, that officially kicked off the Venice Carnival 2026, inspired this year by the theme “Olympus – The Origins of the Game". A theme inspired by the 2926 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, given their proximity in time and geography. A theme that invites us to rediscover play as a universal language of encounter, sharing, and collective imagination. Capable of uniting eras, cultures, and sensibilities. until next February 17th, Shrove Tuesday, last day of Carnival.

Elegant and refined choreography yesterday at dusk in St. Mark's Square for il Grand Ball, animated by professional dancers in sumptuous costumes inspired by the elegance of the early 19th century. To the iconic soundtrack of Bridgerton, the Piazza was transformed into an open-air stage to host a a journey through music, dance, and the atmosphere of times gone by. One of the most anticipated and iconic moments of this Carnival season kickoff. In addition to the Grand Ball in the Piazza, open to all, two dancers twirled suspended on heliospheres, creating a spectacular vertical dance in space that ushered in the Carnival season in a celebration of wonder and enchantment.
