In an interview shortly before the start of Olympics, Luigi Busà told how his passion for karate was born: “I liked to eat, at 13 I weighed 94 kilos, and I was shorter than now. Only my father saw something special in me, he was an athlete, he saw however that as a child I won cadet championships and I could become something serious. The problem is that at 16 I was fighting in the heavyweight, and they made me understand that internationally it would not be a good choice: too hard hits and impacts. I had to lose weight, go down in the middle to 75 kilos. I went on a diet, and I haven't moved from that category since. From playing I moved on to work, in the sports center of the Carabinieri: I am pinned ”.
