Giro d'Italia 2023: the pink caravan it will arrive in Veneto on Wednesday 24 May with the arrival in Caorle (Venice). The next day the Giro d'Italia will start from Oderzo (Treviso) to cross the finish line in Zoldo (Belluno). The queen stage of the 2023 Giro is scheduled for 26 May with departure from Longarone and arrival at the Auronzo refuge, in the presence of the splendid Three peaks of Lavaredo.

From the great start in Abruzzo, on the Costa dei Trabocchi cycle path, to the grand finale in Rome at the Fori Imperiali, the 106th edition of the Tour of Italy it will contain three time trial stages, seven hill finishes and eight stages for sprinters. The bike race most loved by Italians, scheduled from 6 to 28 May next, will also cross into Switzerland, where on the 2.469 meters of the Great St. Bernard is placed there Coppi peak. The first stage will be an individual time trial stage to award the Maglia Rosa. After a rather quiet week, the first finish above the 2.000 mark will be placed on Gran Sasso, the Cima Pantani. Subsequently, the group will have to face the Marche walls to reach the finish line Fossombrone.

The second time trial will still be dedicated to the specialists: 33,6 km between Savignano sul Rubicon and Cesena. From there the Giro will be decided. The alpine cap of Crans-Montana, with two ascents above 2.000 metres, will be the first test for the ranking men. The last week will be very demanding: Monte Bondone with peaks at 15% will skim the group. The fraction with the arrival in Val di Zoldo will be short (160) but intense (3.700 meters in altitude); from Longarone (60 years after the Vajont tragedy) the Dolomite stage will start with arrival at Three peaks of Lavaredo, infernal fraction with 5.400 meters in altitude and five asperities. The last effort will be the uphill time trial of Monte Lussari, with sections at 22 percent. The pink caravan will close the event with the catwalk ai Imperial Forums of Eternal City.
