Genoa Mayor Marco Bucci has stated that the city administration intends to invest, along with other entities, in a marine desalination plant. The sea is, in fact, the planet's greatest resource and water reserve.

The sea, a water reserve to combat the environmental crisis

Thanks to modern technologies we will have the possibility to fight the environmental crisis and the lack of water from the sea itself. Genoa could also become a model for combating the energy crisis, a plant in Liguria would mean having a reserve of fresh water within easy reach throughout northern Italy and beyond.

The applied technology could be financed also thanks to government interventions which would see Genoa as the ideal city from where to begin to build A few desalination plants in every strategic area of ​​the country. And if the Mayor of Genoa—who in a short time has built a bridge and regenerated a city—says it, we have to believe it.
