Il Geloi Archaeological Group it is proposed as a place for reflection and as a space for cultural meeting and production and for interdisciplinary education on Cultural and Archaeological Heritage, in particular: it promotes initiatives for the full recognition and development of the archaeological sector of the Cultural Heritage system. It carries out numerous initiatives in the territory of Gela for the recovery and enhancement of the historical, archaeological and artistic heritage, as well as events focused on the dissemination of local traditions.
The Geloi Archaeological Group is a local branch of the Archaeological Groups of Italy, an association that was officially founded in 1964 as the Italian Center for Archaeological Research (CIRA)
