Ferrari continues to amaze, Ferrari continues to be the Italian pride in the world. What a sight the red one that darted between the tracks and made the hearts of the Italians beat, proud to cheer her, proud to be represented by her. But Ferrari is also loved by non-Italians, who follow Formula one.

Confirmation also came from the site motorsport which recently created a survey concerning the Formula teams with the most fans. Ferrari has won the poll everywhere, even in Great Britain where Mercedes has had an exploit of votes: 30,7%. Even in this case, however, the redhead got more votes.

  • 1.Ferrari 31.9%
  • 2.Mercedes 16.2%
  • 3.McLaren 15.8%
  • 4.Red Bull Racing 14.1%
  • 5.Williams 5%

In short, Ferrari has long since become not only a brand that can be traced back to sports, but an Italian symbol loved and appreciated all over the world, by Italians and foreigners who esteem and love our beautiful country.

The history of Ferrari

The Scuderia Ferrari was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929. It can boast many fans also for its longevity in the sector: it is the only team to have played all Formula Championships 1 from 1950 to today and is also the most successful team in the history of the category. There Ferrari boasts 16 constructors' world titles and 15 drivers.

Ferrari won the World Championship title in the constructors 'classification in 1961 for the first time, then repeated it again in 1964. Then the twenty years of gold: from 1975 to 1983, Ferrari won the constructors' title 6 times. Finally, Ferrari, driven by a majestic Shumacher, won between 1999 and 2008 when it won 8 titles, four of which (2001-2004) consecutively. Those were the years of the challenge with McLaren which, together with Mercedese, is on the podium of the special roll of honor of the constructors' classification in Formula 1. Both McLaren and Mercedes have won 8 titles each. Mercedes has been winning consecutively for 8 years: from 2014 to 2021 it dominated the scene. This year (but we are only at the beginning), the red has a much better start.

In fourth place, Lotus, with 7 world championships, followed by Red Bull with 4 world championships. Two world championships won for Cooper, Brabham and Renault, while only one victory was for Vanwall, BRM, Matra, Tyrell, Benetton and Brawn.

Formula 1 Championship 2022: the rankings

This year, as mentioned, Ferrari started better than their rivals. The Melbourne Grand Prix, overwhelmed by Charles Leclerc, gave the redhead the opportunity to take a further step forward in the standings, stretching over the opponents. At the moment, the Italian team is first at 104 points, followed by Mercedes at 65 points. Red Bull closes the podium with 55 points. Far behind McLaren with 24 points, followed by Alpine (22), Alfa Romeo (13), Haas (12), AlphaTauri (10), Williams (1). The only team, for now, to have no points is Aston Martin.
