In these times of quarantine shopping becomes a very difficult undertaking. So what to put in the cart? In the next paragraphs we suggest which products you absolutely must have at home.
Shopping carefully
As we all know, theorder forbids us to leave the house. Or rather, we can only go out out of necessity. And therefore, what we are going to put in the shopping cart is the result of an intelligent and accurate choice, which allows us to eat nutritious but at the same time tasty dishes. And therefore it is advisable to make a list of what you need before you leave the house, so as not to find yourself unprepared once you arrive at the supermarket. Also because, we cannot spend too much time shopping.
Yes to pasta
Pasta is one of those products that must never be missing at the table. And then yes to pasta, maybe better if whole. Due to the quarantine, in fact, we are forced to stay at home and therefore we do not move much. It's still, rice; Emmer; cous cous; barley and quinoa. In this way, you have several options to create inviting first courses.
Canned products
But to make first courses, you will also need them lentils; the chickpeas; the boiled beans and frozen minestrone. This type of products are useful, especially on a little duller days. And then, inevitable, in the cart, the tomato sauce, the main ingredient of many traditional Italian dishes.
Products in oil and canned
Among the products to have at home there are the capers or anchovies. They come in handy jars, so you can keep them. Among the delights in oil, however, how not to mention the dry tomatoes: excellent for first courses, but also to accompany second courses, they are a 'must' to have and will make your taste buds happy. Other products to keep at home are le Sardinian or the mackerel; these too can be preserved without problems.
Cheese and dairy products
They must never be missing in our shopping cart cheese e dairy product. When you go shopping, remember to buy the milk (better if long-life); ricotta cheese (perhaps in view of some dessert); cheese such as pecorino cheese or grana. And for mid-day snacks, we suggest you stock up on yogurt.
Fruits and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables should never be missing at home. Among the fruit we suggest the oranges, apples, kiwis and lemons (for their vitamin content). Among the vegetables we suggest the radish; endive; the cabbage; the cauliflower; carrots e the pumpkin. You can also opt for frozen vegetables, for example spinaches; the beets. In addition, we suggest that you also buy some nuts like almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts (strictly unsalted).
… And then again
Of course, remember to buy too oil (seed / EVO); the coffee; salt and sugar. Especially the latter, they are easily sold out in supermarkets, so we suggest you keep them at home. Then the Flour , Farina 00: the first is excellent for pizzas; the second is good for desserts. To these products must also be added the yeast (dehydrated and for sweets), this too is difficult to find these days.
Other products to keep at home
Among the purchases necessary to make are the household products and for personal hygiene: space then a floor and washing machine detergents; shampoo and shower gel; toothpaste. These are important cleaning products. Finally, don't forget to buy the baking paper and bags for freezing: these are great for storing some leftover food. Also because, nothing is thrown away!
