Eurochocolate Perugia, an event rich in history
The project conceived by Eugenio Guarducci became a reality in 1994. Over the years there have been many evolutions, but it remains the most significant event to bring together the cocoa producing countries, which present their uses, customs, traditions and typical cocoa-based products. . The international summit, which takes place every year, will feature cocoa tastings and recreational and educational activities. In the scenario of the Loggia dei Lanari, in Piazza Matteotti, there will be a comparison between producers from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela.
Buttons are the protagonists at Eurochocolate Perugia
And the symbol of this year's edition is a curious object. #attaccabottone is in fact the claim with which the International Chocolate Festival celebrates the event. And so that during the event, Piazza Matteotti will be transformed into a "Piazza dei bottoni". This will be carried out in collaboration with Icam Ciocopasticceria, FBM, Cabrellon and Pavoni. It will be a sort of laboratory where visitors can make many sweet chocolate buttons to take home together with the silicone mold. And there will also be a chocolate-themed “haberdashery” featuring the new products of the #attaccabottone line by Costruttori di Dolcezze. And so chocolate-based desserts will be prepared, which will be exhibited in the stands. But also chocolate sculptures, as per tradition.
Buttons in many tasty shapes
The symbol of this edition is therefore curious. There will be buttons colored, marbled, with milk, gianduia, with white and dark chocolate, arranged in leatherette packaging and transparent glass, Plexiglas and PVC containers. There is also space for the “Chocolate show”, the largest chocolate emporium. More than 6 thousand product references are expected from over one hundred confectionery, artisanal and industrial, national and international brands.
The chocolate exhibits and activities for children
And there is no self-respecting event without exhibitions. The former Church of Mercy will host two exhibitions. “Buttons” is the exhibition created in collaboration with the Button Museum in Santarcangelo di Romagna. And “Bottonarte” which will propose an original creative path in which buttons are transformed from a common daily accessory into an artistic object. In the same space there will be a button-shaped table, ready to welcome themed games for children and their families. The little ones can also make some chocolate-based desserts.
