In the heart of Rome, at “Spazio Europa”, an evening took place that highlighted not only the beauty of the city but also the strength of its citizens and those who love it. The “Energie per Roma” award, conceived by Fabio Pompei and Alessandro Alongi under the aegis of the European Centre for Cultural Studies, celebrated in a unique way the contribution of individuals and organizations to the social and cultural fabric of the capital. The event, supported by prominent figures and sponsored by institutions such as the European Parliament, the Lazio Region and also the Fondazione italiani.it and the eCampus University, offered a platform to recognize the importance of individual and collective commitment.

Among the most exciting stories of the evening, that of Paola Stranges, President of the Italian.it Foundation, who received the award in the culture category. His dedication to promoting and enhancing Rome's cultural heritage was exemplified by the award's motivation: "For his extraordinary commitment to enriching and promoting culture in Rome, enhancing its heritage and inspiring the community."

The ceremony was attended by authorities such as the Vice President of the Senate Mariolina Castellone, the MEP Dario Tamburrano, and the Councilor of Rome Capital Mariano Angelucci, giving the event an aura of officiality and importance. The speech by architect Raimondo Grassi, who brought the greetings of the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca, further underlined the importance of the initiative as an example of synthesis between tradition and innovation.

Alessandro Alongi, city councilor, also offered a moment of reflection on the challenges Rome faces, from the preservation of its immense historical heritage to the need to promote a living and inclusive culture.

The “Energie per Roma” award did not limit itself to celebrating past success but looked forward, towards a future where civic and cultural commitment continues to be the engine of change. It demonstrated that, even in a city that may seem already written by history, there is always room for new pages, written by those who believe in the value of the community and the beauty of culture as tools for growth and social cohesion.
