My name is Emanuela Kalb, I am Sardinian by birth, but - as you can guess from my surname - I have distant German origins. I graduated in 2012 from the two-year Master in Narration and Storytelling Techniques of the Holden School of Turin, receiving a special mention for screenplay, storytelling and editing. I have gained significant professional experience in the field of publishing, communication and training for adults and young adults. In 2013 my short story “Sulla Luna”, illustrated by Ale + Ale, was selected and published in the literary magazine “Linus”. Also in 2013 I wrote the screenplay for the award-winning short film “I see monsters - Io vedo i mostri”, directed by the Turin director Federico Alotto. I have worked steadily as a content contributor and copywriter with the ShoppingMag magazine; I am also an editor, freelance copywriter and writing coach. In 2019 my short story "The last year in which I dreamed" was selected and published in the anthology of short stories "We will let you know", edited by the writer Francesco Abate.

Over the years I have held various writing courses and workshops, face to face and remotely.
I believe in the power of a good story: narration, storytelling, is for me the tool of choice for knowledge, to receive it and transmit it in any field. And even more to teach them to tell stories, to choose them, to design them: it is the way through which I myself grow and evolve as a professional, as a person. I like to think that by teaching how to identify a good story to tell, and by giving people the tools to bring it to light, a little more of that awareness is revealed before our eyes - of the universe, of the world, of ourselves. - for which our souls have always had an atavistic and inextinguishable hunger. And may this make us all a little wiser, a little richer.
