Eleonora Pieroni godmother of the Quintana in New York
In Foligno the Quintana carousel, a historical event in costume with a knightly tournament. Eleonora brought the Quintana delegation to parade in New York on the occasion of Columbus Day 2017. For this reason she is considered the "American godmother of the Quintana". In the US metropolis, Eleonora received the award of '' Italian character and excellence that promotes Italian culture in America ''.

The interview for Italiani.it
Eleonora is also a very helpful person, who loves to tell and tell herself. In this interview she talks about her beginnings, her career, her secret dream of opening a farm and the more intimate one of becoming a mother. But he does not fail to talk about the pandemic that has also hit New York and the relaxing period that is being granted, in these days, in Italy.
Eleonora, who tells about New York through her videos, explains how the metropolis is experiencing these days of coronavirus epidemic?
New York is finally restarting after the lockdown of the pandemic and anti-racist protests. Everything is still very quiet and unreal for a city that by definition never sleeps. Without tourists and with smart working it is still sparsely populated and the recovery is very slow. I think that from September, with the fashion week and the return from holidays, we can see a return to normality.
I have been in Italy for two weeks and, after the quarantine in my villa in the countryside, I am finally enjoying my country, which after this bad period I appreciate and love even more.
She is the godmother of the Giostra della Quintana in New York, an imposing parade that pays homage to Foligno, her city ...
The Quintana di Foligno is the most prestigious palio in Europe, with a historical procession that for the beauty of its baroque clothes is the envy of even the best costume designers in Hollywood. Having the Giostra della Quintana parade in New York was a great event, which marked the presence of an Italian Palio rich in history, tradition and culture in America. It was much appreciated by the Americans, newspapers, tourism magazines and TV, both Italian and American, talked about it.
I want to clarify that I was the godmother of the Quintana in New York but also the person in charge of all communication in America in collaboration with Enit (Italian national tourism organization). It was a great promotional event for Quintana and the Umbria region, which marked the beginning of many other “Made in Italy in New York” events.
Miss Beauty Rocchetta Umbria at 15 years old. How much has your life changed since then?
An unforgettable emotion, it was the beginning of everything! From there followed a climb towards an international modeling career in Italy and then in America. Still a minor, I conquered many beauty bands. For me, parading was like flying. It was a game and a passion, my dream was to become a professional model and carry out advertising campaigns around the world.
A dream that came true thanks to the first manager who discovered me, and then thanks to destiny and my determination that has guided me to this day.
He declared that his great passion is cinema. What role would you like to play?
I would like to play a comedy role like those played by Sofia Loren, full of sensuality, in a super Italian context. I would also love a Tomb Raider-style action and event role.
Model, actress, presenter, vlogger and now also singer with the single "Volare", cover of the symbolic song of Italian music in the world. A challenging debut ...
The cover of "Volare" was a bit of a game, born from the idea of a friend, music producer and DJ. We did it all in Miami and Las Vegas. I'm not a singer, but singing was an experience that I really enjoyed and that I would gladly do again, even with other artists. Americans love the Italian song and associating “Volare” with my image of “Italian personality that promotes culture and made in Italy” was an idea that I immediately married.
How important and how important is beauty in life?
As a child, it weighed on me a bit, especially against schoolmates and teachers. It has often been difficult to make it clear that under a beautiful figurine there was a good head and a lot of study. Over time, I started to manage it better. Today I have much more maturity and awareness. For some women it often annoys having to admit that there is much more to it than “a meter and a half of thighs”, especially when they start reading in my biography that I have a degree with honors, more specialist and more. There beauty it can be a means of power, but without intelligence, study and charisma, it takes you very little far.
For Eleonora Pieroni what is femininity?
It is charm, beauty, elegance, grace and poise, all "shaken" with great naturalness and awareness. Femininity is often confused with being sexy, but femininity is something superior. It is to wear with elegance, without ever exaggerating. It is not loaded with accessories, but a preference for sobriety. All this is learned with experience and becoming more and more a woman.
What dreams still has to come true?
Still many. Among the most important, surely starring in a great movie Hollywood, as the protagonist; create my own farmhouse or masseria in the countryside, with a small organically operated farm, and become a mother.
