A transformation process is underway for five Italian islands, which aim towards one Sustainable Development. For the moment, however, it is already possible to take your breath away admiring the spectacle of these places, pearls of the beautiful country.
Capraia
Capraia is a beautiful island ofTuscan archipelago. It is the first to have obtained the green title in our country, according to data from Smart Island. All thanks to one power plant powered by biodiesel, able to supply electricity using vegetable oils.
The island has won a tender of the Changing the from one million euros. Useful funds for interventions on the aqueduct, the lighting system and one for bikesharing. In this way it will be possible to take advantage of pedal assisted bikes to move along the paths of the island and the 800-meter road that connects the port to the town. Nature is king in Capraia and looking in the right direction has brought the monk seal and osprey back to the island.
Ustica
Ustica is in transition. A Sicilian pearl that is also the first marine protected area in Italy, the European capital of underwater activities. The funds of the Mise are directed towards the energy requalification of old buildings, as well as the control of water consumption, in order to avoid waste. Charging stations for ecological and electric minibuses will also be introduced.
The funding enabled the transformation of a landfill. In its place there is now theAilanto Park, multifunctional area furnished with ecological material. It is divided into three areas:

chartreuse
A regeneration of the island is underway chartreuse, located in the heart of the Venetian Lagoon, thanks to a public-private partnership process. What was once a Carthusian monastery was destroyed in the Napoleonic era to make way for a military establishment. This area is today the largest urban island park in the city of Venice.
