The first edition of the Italian Global Series Festival, the new event entirely dedicated to television series, promoted by APA – Associazione Produttori Audiovisivi, has taken place in Rimini. Starting on June 21 and running until June 28, between Rimini and Riccione, it will feature screenings, meetings, previews and awards, with international guests and productions from 34 countries.

Among this year's winners, some very popular names stand out: Kevin Spacey, two-time Oscar winner for The Usual Suspects and American Beauty; Evangeline Lilly, star of Lost; Can Yaman, a well-known face from the most popular Turkish series; Elena Sofia Ricci, one of the most beloved Italian actresses.
Yesterday, Sunday 22nd June was dedicated in particular to new Italian productions such as “I Cesaroni”. A tribute to Twin Peaks, the cult series by David Lynch, and an exhibition dedicated to Il Paradiso delle Signore, one of Rai's most successful TV series.
Also on stage are the protagonists of The Cesaroni, a historic Mediaset series that marked the 2000s of Italian television, and the actor Lino Guanciale, the beloved face of many successful fiction series. The festival will continue in the coming days with new previews, meetings with authors and actors and screenings from the international scene.
