Donatella Sciuto is the current Deputy Rector of the Milan Polytechnic. He is Full Professor of Processing Systems at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado, in Boulder. She also obtained the Master in Business and Administration (CEGA) from the Business Management School ofBocconi University. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Superior Council of Bank of Italy.
Since 2017 he has been an independent member of the Board of Directors of AVIO SpA and Raiway SpA, from 2021 of Fila SpA and from 2022 is a member of the supervisory board of STMicroelectronics. Sciuto defeated his competitors who were Antonio Capone who got 443,47 votes, Giulio Magli who got 182,47 votes and Gianpaolo Rosati with 45,28 votes. 1.602,52 weighted voters turned up, equal to 90,13 per cent of those entitled to vote. The current rector Ferruccio Resta will remain in office until 31 December 2022.
