The world of culture and entertainment returns to breathe. After months of waiting, protests and appeals from various artists (starting with the president of the SIAE, Mogol), the cabinet has finally approved the capacity decree, relating to theaters, movies e indoor discos. From Monday 11 October, cinemas and theaters will be able to host the 100% of the spectators. Good news also regarding the museums, As there will be no more limitations relating to the number of visitors. Different speech for discos and dance halls. In this case the capacity is fixed at 50% indoors and 75% outdoors (employees excluded). Furthermore, the use of the mask will always be mandatory (except when dancing) and disposable cups. As for the sports facilities, it will be possible to access the 70% of the capacity outdoors (in stadiums) and al 60% indoors.
Capacity decree: white area and green pass required
The indications in the capacity decree of the Council of Ministers were even more "benevolent" than those of CTS a few days ago. The Scientific Technical Committee, at the end of September, he had in fact advised to enlarge the maximum capacity of cinemas and theaters at 80%, discotheques al 35% indoors and al 50% outdoors e sports facilities al 75% outdoors and al 50% indoors. The rules approved unanimously by the CDM are however valid only for the regions located in white area. Furthermore, all individuals wishing to access places of culture and entertainment will still have to show their own greenpass. This also applies to stadiums and i concerts outdoors and indoors (whose capacity is always al 100%). as stated by the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, on Twitter, «Finally, the whole culture begins to live again».
The approval of this decree is a big step forward for culture and entertainment, especially for discos, which are now closed for more than 20 months. If the government has decided on this more optimistic reopening it is also thanks to the results obtained with the vaccination campaign. To date, in fact, more than 80% of the population is vaccinated against Covid-19 (at least one dose). Also, with the arrival of the mandatory green pass at work since 15 October, even some skeptics have convinced themselves to get vaccinated. Massive vaccination could prevent new, more contagious and dangerous forms of the virus from developing, but it is also bringing us back to normal life, where places of culture and entertainment can return to breathe and be as active as they once were.
