Known mainly for his successes in the furniture sector and for already being the majority shareholder of Rapid Bucharest, Sucu represents a prominent figure in the Romanian economic panorama. The Origins and Climb of Dan Sucu
Dan Sucu, born in 1963, is the perfect example of a self-made man who built a fortune through bold moves and targeted investments. His main success is related to Mobexpert, the largest furniture brand in Romania, with over 2.200 employees. A company founded thanks to a courageous and personal choice, Sucu began its journey with a first shipment of furniture from France. With that initial investment, it opened its first store in Bucharest, in a small space of 150 square meters, with an initial capital of only 1.000 dollars. Since then, growth has been constant. The purchase of mattress and furniture factories has allowed Mobexpert to expand rapidly, covering not only Romania, but also Serbia and Bulgaria. Today, Sucu's company is not limited to retail sales alone, but manages the entire production chain: from production to logistics to final distribution. A furniture empire, built on a clear entrepreneurial vision and extraordinary courage.
Like many successful entrepreneurs, Dan Sucu has chosen to diversify his investments. In addition to furniture, he has extended his scope to real estate and the technology sector, investing in projects ranging from residential centers to hotels and hospitals. In the electronics and IT sector, Sucu has been able to seize strategic opportunities, consolidating his presence in areas with high growth potential. Thanks to these moves, he is now considered the 24th richest man in Romania, with an estimated net worth of 1,5 billion lei, equivalent to approximately 300 million euros. In 2022, Dan Sucu also decided to invest in the world of football, purchasing the majority of shares in Rapid Bucharest.
