The latter will register them anonymously on a specific IT platform. The data collected will be made available to SIP pulmonologists to study oxygen saturation levels in frail patients.

Collaboration between pharmacies and the territory

“This phase of the measuriAmo2 project has a great value as it marks the beginning of a new phase of collaboration between local pharmacies and pulmonology specialists. The aim is to take care of patients with chronic respiratory diseases assisted at home ". Thus the president of Federfarma, Marco Cossolo.

The oximeter, adds Luca Richeldi, president of the Italian Society of Pulmonology, “should be present in our homes almost as if it were a second thermometer. Instead it is still too little known. People with respiratory disease are at a higher risk of serious complications if infected with the SARS-CoV-2". Covid-19 patients are advised to check their condition with the oximeter, even in the absence of respiratory problems.
