The swabs carried out are 310.994; the ICU patients are 2.128 while they still remain in home isolation 388.703 people affected by the virus.

Covid vaccine, possibly needed every year

The Covid-19 vaccine may be needed "once a year, for many years". The CEO of Johnson & Johnson claims it, Alex Gorsky, in an interview with Cnbc. “Unfortunately, the more it spreads, the more the virus mutates. And every time - explained Gorsky - when the variant changes, it can respond differently not only to drugs but also to the vaccine ”.

The product developed by the company is one of the most anticipated, especially because unlike the others it is administered in a single dose. In the next weeks Johnson and Johnson it should also seek authorization in Europe. “In parallel, added Gorsky, the company is pursuing the experimentations of the vaccine, which uses an adenovirus to carry a fragment of the Sars-CoV-2 genome into cells. This in order to elicit the immune response, administered in two doses, the first results of which should arrive in the second half of 2021 ".
