Covid emergency in Italy: the boot turns yellow again. In fact, only 5 regions remain in the orange area: Basilicata, Calabria, Puglia, Sicily and Valle d'Aosta, Sardinia is the only red region. All other regions and autonomous provinces are in the yellow area. This is foreseen by the new ordinances that the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, will sign on the basis of the data and indications of the control room. The new ordinances will go into effect on April 26.

Regions in yellow

Many Italian regions return to yellow because the pandemic is slowly retreating. Indeed the index National Rt Coronavirus contagion drops again and reaches 0,81 compared to 0,85 last week. This is what emerges from the latest weekly monitoring of the Ministry of Health-Higher Institute of Health. The contagion curve always under close observation today provides rather comforting data.

In fact, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health, the new positive cases registered in Italy in the last 24 hours are 14.761 (yesterday 16.232). Overall, the positive cases are 465.543 (yesterday 472.196); the discharged healed are 21.069 (yesterday 19.215). The deaths of today are 342 (yesterday 360). The swabs carried out are 315.700 (yesterday 364.804). In intensive care there are still 2.979 Covid patients while in home isolation remain 441.124 people infected with Coronavirus.

Astrazeneca or Pfizer reduce the risk of contagion by two thirds
