Covid emergency, slight decrease in infections and from tomorrow Italy will turn red and orange, based on the restrictions imposed by the Draghi government. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, 24 new positive cases have been registered in the last 21.315 hours. Yesterday there were 26.062. The victims were 264 (yesterday) 317; the decline was affected by the almost 100 fewer tampons.
Tomorrow Italy in red and orange
From tomorrow, the new restrictive measures imposed by the national executive are launched to contain the spread of infections. As a result, Italy will turn red and orange based on the spread of the pandemic in each region. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, there have been 243 admissions to intensive care for Covid-19. The daily balance between entries and exits is 100 more patients, bringing the total to exceed 3 units again: to be precise they are 3.082. The peak of hospitalizations in intensive care was recorded on April 3 last year with 4.068 patients in intensive therapy.

Currently in the ordinary wards (pneumatology and infectious diseases) the patients have instead increased by 365 units compared to yesterday, bringing the total to 24.518. In the last 24 hours they have been carried out 273.966 molecular and antigenic swabs; yesterday there were 372.944 tests, therefore almost 100 thousand more. The positivity rate (positive/test ratio) today is 7,78 percent (yesterday 6,98%), so there is an increase of 0,8%.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours in Italy they have been administered 180.081 doses of the vaccine, according to data published online by the government. At 15.30 today the total of the administrations, from the beginning vaccination campaign, turn out to be 6.610.347 (yesterday at the same time they were 6.430.266). The vaccinated with two doses, including the booster, are 1.968.796 up by 46.724 compared to yesterday's 15.30 update.
