Health emergency, the Draghi government launches new anti-Covid measures for the next few weeks. The executive, in an ad hoc decree law, has ordered the new rules to deal with the pandemic which will be in effect from Monday 15 March until 6 April. According to the new decree, the regions that will have a weekly number of positive cases exceeding 250, per 100 thousand inhabitants, will automatically pass into red zone. For the Easter holidays, from 3 to 5 April, the measures foreseen for the red zone they will apply throughout the national territory.
However, it will be possible to move within your region to only one private home, once a day, maximum two people. Meanwhile, according to data released by the Ministry of Health, today they are registered 26.824 new positive cases (25.673 yesterday). The deaths of the last 24 hours are 380 (yesterday 373); the discharged healed are 14.443 (15.000). Overall, the positive cases are 509.317, practically 11.967 more than yesterday. The swabs carried out are 369.636; the ICU patients are 2.914 while they remain in home isolation 482.747 people tested positive for Covid.
New anti-Covid measures
The autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento, Basilicata, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Tuscany and Marche are the regions that will be red. In the group those that already are and those that should become according to the worsening of the indicators. Instead, there are 8 that are or should become orange: Abruzzo, Calabria, Liguria, Molise, Puglia, Sicily, Umbria, Val d'Aosta. Sardinia should remain white.
Easter and Easter Monday 2021 under lockdown
In the days of Easter and Easter Monday and the previous Saturday (3, 4 and 5 April) Italy will be all in the red zone with the exception of any regions in the white zone (at the moment only Sardinia is). In those three days it will still be possible to make one visit per day within the region, maximum two adults with children under 14 or disabled or non self-sufficient living together, between 5 and 22.
In the remaining days, from March 15th to April 2nd and April 6th, all the yellow regions will change to orange and it will be possible to visit one day with the same Easter restrictions, but only within the municipal area. On these days, however, the movement will not be allowed in the red areas. As always, it will be possible to move for work, health or necessity reasons.
Red zones in the orange regions
The orange regions will be able to identify areas to be brought into the red zone, when the incidence exceeds the threshold of 250 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the week. Or when the presence of variants is found such as to require more restrictive measures. In the decree, the government also has 290 million euros of resources for parental leave, starting from 1 January and therefore also retroactive.
They will be paid 50 percent for those who have children under 14, while 14 to 16 years will not be paid. An alternative to leave is a babysitter bonus of up to 100 euros per week for self-employed workers, health professionals and law enforcement. Up to the age of 16, parents' right to smart-working is reaffirmed.
