Angelo Ogbonna honored by Mayor Salera for winning the 2023 Conference League.
There is a bit of Cassino in the victory of the Conference League. It is true, as Mayor Enzo Salera recalled, that it is a shame for the defeat of the Fiorentina in the final against West HamViola was one of the three Italian teams that brought the Serie A, at the highest European level. Above all, it hurts because the defeat came only in the final seconds. But Cassino wants to congratulate our fellow citizen, Angelo OgbonnaThe young man from Cassino, son of Nigerian immigrants, has long been one of the flags of the West Ham, of which he often wore the captain's armband. We're talking about a young man who deserves the embrace of the entire Martyr City.
As the mayor explains Enzo SaleraOur Cassino is proud of the achievements and successes of Angelo Ogbonna. Angelo played over 400 matches in his career as a top-level footballer, including Serie A, Premier League e Italian NationalFurthermore, Ogbonna is an example for many young people who are starting to play football in Cassino today. In fact, we remember that little Angelo kicked his first ball playing in the football school of the AC MontecassinoFootball becomes a school of life. Angelo needs a lot of commitment and tenacity to reach the most important international stages. The thrill of lifting a European trophy is great, it repays all the efforts and sacrifices of a lifetime.
