“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” Returns to TV: What's New and How to Participate

How to participate in the casting of "Who wants to be a millionaire"? If you want to participate in the program and test yourself in the famous quiz on Canale 5, the first step is to send your candidacy. It is important to note that applications received for the previous edition will also be evaluated, with the exception of those who have already had the opportunity to participate in the quiz in previous editions.

The selection stages

The selection of the competitors will take place in three phases, each of which is designed to ensure that the best candidates are chosen:

• 1. General knowledge test: The selected candidates will have to take a test consisting of 39 general knowledge questions. The time available to complete it is 20 minutes, and each question has a different score depending on the difficulty, with a maximum total of 78 points. Only those who reach at least 45 points will be able to move on to the next phase.
• 2. Interview and personal interview: After passing the test, candidates will face an interview that aims to evaluate different aspects of their personal profile. During the interview, elements such as communication skills, expressiveness, telegenicity (the ability to capture the viewer's attention) and life experiences will be examined. At this stage, the goal is to identify who is truly suitable to participate in the program not only for knowledge, but also for personality.
• 3. Deepening of skills: The final stage of the casting involves a further interview, which can be held either in person or online via Zoom. In this meeting, a Fremantle representative will verify the candidate's multidisciplinary skills, ability to reason under pressure and ability to connect concepts from different areas. They will be looking for people who can handle stress and think quickly.

The final decision for the participants of Who Wants to be a Millionaire

After the completion of the three phases, Fremantle will select the candidates who will actually participate in the new episodes of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire". The rules specify that only a limited number of candidates will be chosen to ensure the optimal realization of the program. It is therefore not guaranteed that all those who pass the auditions will be able to participate in the broadcast.
