After the tour and the live album "Eco di Sirene", the Cantantessa organized an event not to be missed: Carmen Consoli & Friends. Samuele Bersani, Mario Venuti, Elisa, Bandabardò, Max Gazzè, Marina Rei and Daniele Silvestri are the guests who will take the stage for a big party that aims to support the Namastè Onlus and raise funds to give a family home to boys with mental disabilities.

Carmen Consoli, generous, selfless, proud and Sicilian soul. Great artist and eternal naughty girl. Carmen Consoli is fully part of that group of Italian talents to be proud of. A woman who has always embraced civil and cultural causes and this time too, she is personally committed to supporting a great project. The Carmen Consoli & Friends concert organized for theJune 1st 2018 at Piazza Duomo, with the patronage of the Municipality of Catania, it has a very important purpose. There fundraising, in fact, will be aimed at the acquisition of a new headquarters for the Namasté non-profit organization. The voluntary association, founded in 2000, deals with helping children with mental disabilities.
Currently there are about thirty young people followed by the Onlus and they can spend a few hours of the day in company or they can live for periods of time at the Family Home. Here, they receive complete assistance: medical, pedagogical, but also psychological and can carry out workshops and recreational activities. This marvelous reality, however, runs the risk of disappearing; currently the house Family di Namastè is housed in a private structure that must be vacated as soon as possible. Through the concert-event Carmen Consoli & Friends, it is hoped to be able to ensure a home for these young people and not to make all the work done by the volunteers in vain.
June 1st Piazza Duomo: From Bersani to Elisa
For Carmen Consoli & Friends, there will be many friends met by the singer-songwriter in over twenty years of career. One of the guests will be Mario Venuti. The relationship that binds Carmen Consoli e Mario Venuti it is that of a deep friendship and mutual esteem. Many of you will remember 1996, when the Cantantessa presented the Festival of Sanremo the song "Plastic love" written together with the songwriter and the duet, two years later, with the song "Never like yesterday". With Elisa, instead, he shared the stage of Friends for Abruzzo and always together, they duet in "The lady on the fifth floor".
Carmen Consoli and Max Gazzè they have collaborated together on several occasions. How not to remember the song "The engine of events"And the dubbing of the animated film"Monster Family"? And always with Gazzè how not to mention the extraordinary show Collisions in trio with Daniele Silvestri?
Participation by the city of Catania and by the artists
In a recent interview with Rolling Stones, Carmen Consoli pointed out how the entire city of Catania came to meet this project and moved to help the association. All guests will go on stage without receiving any compensation and each artist will play some of their most famous songs. Each performance will be accompanied by a great exceptional band, made up of eleven musicians. Massimo Roccaforte and Denis Marino on guitars. Antonio Marra on drums.
