Caorle offers its citizens and especially to the many tourists willing to try their hand at a visit something truly unique. A ski slope overlooking the Adriatic Sea. One of the tourist pearls of Veneto has achieved something that was thought impossible. A more unique than rare chance, certainly not to be missed.

The Caorle ski slope

If on the one hand there is one golden beach of 18 km, complete with dunes, waves breaking in the December frost and an old lighthouse to illuminate the way, on the other hand there is a city in full climate Christmas. There are many markets, delights to taste and handicrafts to buy. In the midst of this marvel one stands out cross-country ski track.

After so many limitations due to Covid, why not give yourself a truly splendid gift. Why not live a unique experience by skiing by the sea. Mountains are not lacking in Veneto but Caorle is certainly not among the ski resorts on the list. The festive climate and the white week atmosphere guarantee a truly unforgettable holiday.

The cross-country ski track will be available to locals and tourists until 9 January 2022. Sports enthusiasts will be able to have fun on the 400-meter path available along via Roma, taking advantage of the track that runs along the cliffs. You will have a truly unusual panorama, which will make the souvenir photos of this period unique.

Green ski slope

The project is as green as possible. The ski slope created in Caorle starts near the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Angelo, following the coast. Everyone can try their hand at this experience, starting with from 10.00 every day and until 20.00. You can decide to use your own skis, of course, or rent some for yourself or for the whole family.

If the fact of being able to ski in front of the sea were not enough, the municipality has foreseen another surprising novelty. In fact, you can ski without snow. In fact, it was decided to opt for an ecological choice, avoiding producing synthetic snow and shooting it all along the way with a cannon. The alternative was identified in a particular certified synthetic mantle. A totally eco-sustainable cover. As strange as it may seem at first glance, this guarantees a friction that gives the customers the same sensations as snow or ice.

No risk of accidents, therefore, due to the lack of snow. Seeing is believing. You can have fun skiing or skating without any risk. A green project which honors Caorle and the Veneto region. What makes the track eco-sustainable? The secret lies in the fact of not needing cooling systems that keep the track temperature intact, so as to prevent it from melting. The impact on the environment is therefore zero, as well as energy consumption. A brilliant idea that looks to the future and could be welcomed by other cities over the next few years.
