Carlo Conti, appointed host and artistic director for the 2025 and 2026 editions of the Sanremo Festival, took part in an interview with Giorgia Cardinaletti on TG1MattinaEstate, where he illustrated some news regarding the changes to the Sanremo regulations, which will make significant changes to the famous musical event.

Sanremo 2025 regulation changes

Carlo Conti has announced some changes to the Sanremo regulations to improve the organization of the Festival. Among the main innovations, the reduction in the number of songs in the race it will allow you to focus more on quality. Furthermore, the young artists will not compete in the same category as the Bigs: the new proposals will have a separate competition and the winner will not join the Bigs during the final phase.

The organization of the Festival will follow precise phases: first the regulation, then the new proposals and the Bigs, and only then the show. Starting from the end of August and the beginning of September, we will start listening to the songs seriously.
