Bud Spencer, together with friend and colleague Terence Hill, made entire generations laugh and smile. His interpretations have marked the different moments of the happiest seasons of Italian cinema. A cult figure, an icon of freedom and a man loved all over the world. Bud Spencer passed away on June 27, 2016. In his honor, in Budapest, a natural park was named after him and in 2017, also in the Hungarian capital, a bronze statue of the sculptor Szandra Tasnadi was erected on the Corvin Promenade that represents him. Bud Spencer: the beginnings
Bud Spencer, aka Carlo Pedersoli, was born in Napoli the 31 October 1929. In 1940 he left the Neapolitan capital with his family and moved to Rome where he became passionate about swimming and excelled in his studies. He graduated with honors and enrolled in the faculty of chemistry. However, he will have to abandon his studies for a new family transfer. The goal this time is the Brazil and Bud Spencer devotes his energies to various jobs. Finally he manages to return to Rome and enrolls again at the university, without ever graduating. The meeting with Mario Girotti, or Terence Hill
