What to see in Borgo Valsugana

What makes Borgo Valsugana a unique place is precisely the Brenta river. Or better: it is the fact that no other locality in Trentino has developed on both sides of a river. To dominate the country, from the top of the mount Ciotolino, is Telvana Castle. The fortress, which carried out an important control function of the Roman road Claudia Augusta Altinate, looks at Borgo Valsugana as if to watch over it. And, especially when low clouds surround it, the manor seems to have been stolen from a book. The village, then, is a maze of medieval streets. Intricate interlocking alleys and courtyards welcome Renaissance and Baroque palaces, shops selling typical products, bridges over the Brenta and churches from different periods.
