"The strangeness" is one of the films that is breaking the bank at the box office so much that it has been awarded the Golden Ticket. Together with Roberto Andò's film, Gianluca Leuzzi's "Me contro Te - Il Film: Persi nel tempo" and Francesca Archibugi's "Il Colibrì" also conquer this coveted goal. Among the foreign films are added to “Spider-Man: No Way Home” by Jon Watts, “Minions 2 – How Gru becomes very bad” directed by Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson, Jonathan del Val and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” by Sam Raimi. Judging by the receipts obtained so far, they are the most viewed ever.
Golden Ticket to "The strangeness"
The Golden Tickets awarded by Anec at the Professional Cinema Days - 45th edition of "New Challenges, together!", are awarded to the films which, according to the Cinetel champion, sold the most tickets from December 2021 to November 2022. In particular, "The Strangeness" by Roberto Andò, released in theaters on October 27, is truly triumphing everywhere. The film, starring Toni Servillo, Salvo Ficarra and Valentino Picone, tells the story of Luigi Pirandello who, having gone to Sicily for the 80th birthday of Giovanni Verga, he discovers that his beloved nurse Maria Stella has just died and needs to be buried.
This unexpected event will lead him to meet two singular figures of actors, Onofrio Principato and Sebastiano Vella, two amateurs who are rehearsing a new show with the actors of their amateur dramatics. The encounter between the great man of letters and the shabby amateur company will herald many surprises. The film is produced by Bibi Film and Tramp Limited with Medusa Film and Rai Cinema, in collaboration with Prime Video.
