The Civita Folk Cultural Association has done it again. It thrilled all the Lanuvini who chose to celebrate the Epiphany in the splendid Piazza Carlo Fontana, with the perfect backdrop provided by the Fontana degli Scogli grotto.
A living nativity scene, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, with costumes always crafted with great skill and profound passion, told not the usual story, the one repeated every year in Italy's squares, but the original story of the Befana, of how children's most beloved old lady began her wonderful mission around the world. The large turnout in the packed and festively dressed square confirmed the Lanuvini people's attachment to the beauty of their town, where every corner lends itself to a story, offering a natural stage for every reenactment or event.
The warmth and passion of the Living Nativity performers made the event truly interesting and enjoyable. The arrival of the Three Kings in the square sealed the celebration, giving rise to what could become a wonderful tradition for years to come, capable of slowly gaining importance and value, like fine wine. Congratulations, then, to the Civita Folk Association, which always reminds us that things done with deep passion and commitment can become successful and are made to last.
