The Due Sorelle beach near Ancona
The Due Sorelle beach is one of the most beautiful bays of the whole Ancona coast. Located a few kilometers from Ancona, in the nearby town of Sirolo, this wonder of nature is accessible only by sea. In fact, some tourist guides reveal the presence of a path that leads directly to the beach from the green mountain that overlooks it. For those who decide to visit it, know that it is possible to do it with a boat.
Thanks to this particularity, the beautiful bay is preserved intact and uncontaminated. Although hundreds of visitors literally storm it in the middle of summer, this small cove is preserved untouched. Ferries and small boats are available in the nearby marinas. Modest prices and guaranteed fun.
Where does the name 'Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle' come from?
Called "beach of the Two Sisters", not by chance. In fact it was thanks to presence of two stacks that this singular appellation was assigned to it. The two huge boulders emerge from the clear waters of the Adriatic Sea on the north side of the bay and are affectionately known by the locals as "the Two Sisters".
