The Baci Perugina celebrate 100 years. A special occasion also celebrated by Dolce & Gabbana. The high fashion brand has left its mark in dedicated packaging. The goal is to "Celebrate the Italian spirit, love and passion that have distinguished the Baci Perugina since their birth". Here is the message launched by the company belonging to the Nestlé group.
History
The birth of the Baci Perugina dates back to 1922, obviously in Perugia, as the name suggests. The credit is due to Luisa Spagnoli, who invented a new recipe to reinvent the classic chocolates. The whole has a form weight from a combination of chopped hazelnut, obtained from the leftovers, melted chocolate for the filling, a whole toasted hazelnut, and a dark chocolate coating. The result resembled the knuckle of the hand, hence the original name, Punch.
Giovanni Buitoni, co-founder of Perugina, decides to change it, deeming it unsuitable. Rather than asking a saleswoman for a punch, it would have been better to ask for a kiss. The message of love, on the other hand, is the result of the inventiveness of the art director Federico Seneca, who wrapped the Kiss in a message of love, inserting romantic phrases inside a starry envelope.
Baci Perugina Dolce & Gabbana
In the year of the centenary of the Baci Perugina, Dolce & Gabbana places its signature on the celebratory collection. This will be the first of the year, the second will arrive in time for Valentine's Day. Even the teachers of the School of chocolate of Perugia will participate in the celebrations, with a special cake. The plant will also open its doors to the public on the occasion of this special event, so as to “experience an exciting journey through time to discover a company history that deserves to be known and shared”.
