The Nicola Colavolpe & C. company has over a century of history and experience. Born in Belmonte Calabro in 1910, by the will of Nicola, to work one of the most popular products in the area: the fig. To ennoble it, enhance it and enhance it, it launches for the first time on the market a product created with high quality raw materials, handcrafted and expertly processed, with a recipe studied in detail: the fig crosses. The success, the awards and even the merits of the House of Savoy were not long in coming.

The Colavolpe company is a family business now in its third generation. Over time it has expanded its production but always letting itself be guided by the cardinal principles: tradition and quality. And this is how the typical products of the Mediterranean are processed: the “dottato” fig, the clementines of Calabria IGP, the cedar of Diamante, licorice and dried fruit. By carefully choosing the raw materials, meticulously following each stage of processing, from harvesting, to selection, to transformation to packaging. And genuine products come out that glorify raw materials and satisfy the most sophisticated palates. The classic dried figs or covered with chocolate, intertwined with "crosses" or "knots" are the must of the house, together with candied fruit. But Colavolpe, over time, has specialized in the processing of chocolate. Thus the pralines and chocolate departments were added. Colavolpe is at the customer's side on every occasion, with chocolates, pralines and Easter eggs accompanying them. But also at Christmas, thanks to its nougat, panettone and pandoro. Of course, Calabrian specialties certainly cannot be missing in the wide and varied production. From spices and aromas to pickles. From pasta, bread and legumes to wines and spirits. Without excluding jams, marmalades and honey.

The cornerstones of the company are the scrupulous control of the entire production chain and respect for the environment that has prompted the family to adopt renewable energy deriving from a photovoltaic system that covers the energy needs of the entire plant. And then, transparency, attention to the customer and the consumer and, finally, the choice of genuine raw materials and the craftsmanship with which much of the processing is still carried out.
