A truly surprising find in Campania, where the ancient Naples-Reggio Calabria of the 800s comes back to life. Today it turns into a tourist path to be explored among naturalistic oases and much more. All thanks to the architect Luca Esposito, a scholar of historical cartography of the Kingdom of Naples. A place that is returned to us, which was the scene of some of the main events of the shipment of the 1000 and Second World War.

A research activity that is invaluable to say the least, thanks to which a very important event will be held on 26 March. Vienna Cammarota, who is now 72 years old and is an Environmental Hiking Guide and Ambassador of Archeoclub D'Italia, will undertake on March 26 a journey that will start from Serre, in the province of Salerno. It will tell about 22 villages and will offer a splendid view of these places, now indicated on Google Maps for the use of all.

They return to the attention of all places still in their original state, as well as ancient taverns and post offices. An exhausting work, that of the architect Luca Esposito, who took 8 years, working both in the office, analyzing ancient papers, as well as on the place, collecting testimonies, among which the most interesting, however, are ancient and transcribed, which have as their source illustrious travelers who lived in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Ancient Via Regia of Calabria

All this would not have been possible without the enormous research work of Luke Esposito. Here are his words: “It was 8 years of research work, carried out in the field. I have reconstructed the ancient route which also includes the Roman Consular! It was the way traveled by those who also escaped from wars and poverty to embark and reach America! Therefore today a path of peace ”.
