The currently positive cases are 710.515, the currently positive are 27.010 fewer than yesterday. In the meantime, it will be soon available to all a film on the first and complex phase of the pandemic. In fact, from 10 December on the RaiPlay online platform it will be possible to see “It was spring outside”, The director's new work Gabriele Salvatores. It is a collective film that after a stay on the net (where it is visible for free) will arrive on Rai2 next January 3.
Outside it was spring, a lockdown movie
The film is wanted by Indiana Productions and Rai Cinema and is made with the enthusiastic participation of about 8 thousand Italians who sent their amateur videos in the period of lockdown. "Outside it was spring”, Cleverly edited by Massimo Fiocchi and Chiara Griziotti, is an intense journey through loneliness, pain, but also the hope and solidarity that people have made their own in the hardest period of the first wave of the pandemic.
"At the beginning we had a more classic, almost documentary approach - says Salvatores - Then we realized that everything risked taking on a television cut that could not compete with the flow of daily news and so we chose the path of emotions". The film opens on a long series of shots of uncontaminated nature, of animal species that overlap the collective rites of the human species. Until a bat flies in the sky and it all begins.
Between fear, anger and hope
“I will never be a denier - specifies the Oscar-winning director - I know very well that the virus exists, I have tried it firsthand and I believe in the reconstruction of its passage from animal to man. But it is equally true, as one of the characters in the film says, that for nature we too are a kind of malefic virus.
We have wreaked havoc on the earth and we are responsible for the degradation that the planet is gasping for. We have favored this pandemic with our behavior and today I consider it an alarm signal ". In the film there is a lot of solidarity, a desire for community and mutual aid, all things that have characterized our spring and that today seem faded. "Today the feeling of community has been replaced by fear, anger, confusion".
