È Emma Dante, the most celebrated Italian theatre and opera director, the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of Theatre Biennale 2026. To the 54. International Theatre Festival – which will be held in Venice by 7 21 to June – Emma Dante will present the world premiere Basile's ghosts. After the trilogy that brings to the stage The flayed one, Sugar baby e King Chicchinella, Emma Dante returns to the imaginative and baroque universe of the Neapolitan writer Giambattista Basile.

The Silver Lion
Il Silver Lion was awarded to the twenty-seven year old Greek-Albanian director Mario Banushi, which immediately established itself on the European and international scene.
