Noto, among the late Baroque cities of Sicily
The baroque city is part of the site "The late Baroque cities of the Val di Noto" awarded the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. It is a city that with its cathedral of San Nicolò, rebuilt after the collapse that devastated in 1996, represents rebirth. Andrea's concert in Noto Bocelli, at 19 pm on the steps of the cathedral, represents this restart of art despite the difficult moment we are experiencing. And it will be a concert for all Sicilian Unesco sites. Bocelli in Noto will be accompanied by the orchestra and choir of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, directed by Alberto Bartalini. And then there will be the Bearers of the Cilii di San Corrado, the costumes of the Cavalleria Rusticana of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.

The particularity of the works of the master Mitoraj is contained in the greatness of these works. To get to Noto it was necessary to collaborate with the Contini Art Gallery and Atelier Mitoraj. They have been placed on the steps of the Cathedral of San Nicolò and will remain on display until February next year. The works on display “Daedalus”, “Ikaria”, “Eros Bendato”, “Winged Legs”, “Winged Ikaro” and “Cracked Winged Eros”.

I will perform this concert on the splendid staircase and it will be an evening dedicated to art". For the president of the Sicilian Region Nello Musumeci the initiative comes after the exhibition of Mitoraj's works "a set of highly suggestive and fascinating cultural events to make Sicily a great pole of attraction in the Mediterranean".
