The permanent interactive exhibition "All the Water in the World" is located in the splendid structure. of the Papal Paper Mill of Ascoli Piceno. It's worth a visit. Moreover, the exhibition enriches the tourist offer, addressing mainly to young people, to school tourism, through innovative contents that touch on all aspects of water, from its uses in history, to the cscientific and environmental considerations, including water saving and sustainable development. We are located in a unique regional setting, the Cartiera Papale, which represents a true hub of scientific and cultural development, thanks also to its natural history museum.
Papal Paper Mill of Ascoli Piceno
The project was funded with approximately €350 under the regional PIT (Emotions of Science) program. There is now a network of connections with other outstanding museums, such as the Science Museum of Trento, the City of Sciences in Naples, and the Polytechnic University of Milan. Perhaps teachers and professors could organize a visit here.
There will be guided tours involving over 1600 students, not only from the province where we are located, but also of neighboring areas such as Valdaso, Umbria with Norcia, the Rieti area, and Abruzzo to promote the new museum complex. All of this in a context overlooking the structure, including the cycle path and nature trails. The “Ecomuseum” project is also fantastic, as it connects all 6 Centres through the common thread of water.for Environmental Education (CEA) managed by the Province around the central hub of the Water Museum.
Ecomuseum – The Emotions of Science
The ecomuseum is an atypical museum, as it is extensive and widespread: its objective is the conservation and valorization of a territory – understood as traditional living environments, naturalistic and historical-artistic heritage – and of the community that inhabits it.The area is, in fact, rich in rivers, lakes, and streams that have also played a fundamental role in the development of the local economy. The area includes river, lake, brackish marine, sulphurous and karst habitats.
This is the first Italian museum entirely dedicated to water and includes interactive installations, sensory pathways and, in general, on all aspects of the water theme: uses, history, social uses, availability, etc. Webcams and suitable signage will also be installed to identify the locations within the Ecomuseum. A rental service will also be launched. bike and electric bicycles and steps will be taken to promote the expansion of refreshment points.
Environmental education

Birdwatching – Water Museum
There will be activities in collaboration with the civil protection group. Then monitoring of watercourses, reorganization of part of the trail network.
