The weekend is upon us and, for the occasion, this year too Acireale is offering 2 days of healthy entertainment, art and nature: the 2017 edition of Timpaviva.
Timpaviva: Enchanting landscapes for a midsummer celebration
The Timpaviva demonstration, now in its ninth edition, is taken care of from the Barok Association; the whole event will take place on the nature trail of “ The Chiazzette”, inside the La Timpa Oriented Nature Reserve.
The so-called "Spots" constitute the old path connecting Acireale and Santa Maria La Scala. From this ancient road, which winds among prickly pears and 150-year-old plane trees, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of one of Sicily's most beautiful coastlines.
The event
Timpaviva will take place Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July 2017. This is a free event Featuring workshops; live music; puppet theater; children's workshops, and more! Here's the packed program for these two days of pure fun:
Saturday 15
18:00 PM – "GiroLibro's Little Bookcases," Storycubes, and Memory Game. Organized by the Eralavò Cultural Association.
19:00 PM – Papier-mâché workshop led by Laura Laudani.
19:30 PM – Musical Selections: Music for Pregnants
20:00 PM – Puppet Theater “I Sing of Weapons, Women, and Knights…” Turi Grasso Puppet Theater Company from Acireale.
8.45pm – Mongibella. A volcanic story. Show/cuntu by and with Tiziana Giletto.
